Best time to visit

Weekday mornings (10-11am) are quietest. Sunset rotations are most popular (and beautiful). Winter is quieter than summer but fewer daylight views.

How long does it take?

The rotation itself is 30 minutes. Allow 15-60 minutes for queueing (longer at weekends/holidays). Total: 45 minutes to 1.5 hours.

Is it worth it?

If you've never done it: yes, the views are genuinely stunning. Repeat visitors: consider The Shard (better views, less queue) or Sky Garden (free but need to book).

Free alternatives

Sky Garden (free, book online). Greenwich Observatory hill. Parliament Hill on Hampstead Heath. Primrose Hill. All offer great London views for £0.
